FIS Alpine World Ski Championships Come to Vail in February

The greatest ski racers on earth arrive in Vail and Beaver Creek next month! During the FIS Alpine World Ski Championships, experience the most extraordinary convergence of over 700 athletes from more than 70 nations.

Beginning February 2nd through the 15th, Beaver Creek will be the epicenter of the competition. Vail will be the official ceremony and festival grounds, reveling in parties, concerts, and culinary and artistic celebrations.

View the races at no charge and travel on the free bus to the stadium style seating. Have a current Vail\Beaver Creek lift ticket or pass? Take Trail 2015 (Beaver Creek Races) and ski down the mountain to watch the expert racers reach death defying speeds in their quest for the podium.

The FIS Alpine World Ski Championships have only been held in the U.S. three times before—the Vail Valley hosted 2 of those events, in 1989 and 1999. Pop into your bindings or don your snow boots to cheer on the world’s best male and female skiers in the Slalom, GS, Super G, Combined and Downhill races.

This event is second only to the Winter Olympics in scope, so come and witness skiing history being made right here in our beautiful valley.

Go skiers!
