The summer season has descended upon Vail, and brings with it a slew of fun summertime events, including the Vail Farmers’ Market, Vail summer music festivals, and the Vail 50th Anniversary themed Fourth of July celebration. With the colorful wildflowers, green aspen trees, hiking, mountain biking, fly fishing, and Vail summer events, Vail in the summertime is a hive of activity.

Now in its 26th season, the Bravo! Vail Valley Music Festival welcomes celebrated orchestras, including the New York Philharmonic, the Philadelphia Orchestra, and the Dallas Symphony Orchestra, along with talented soloists, to Vail for a summer filled with inspiring musical performances. This year, the New York Philharmonic will explore the works of Tchaikovsky, Berlioz, and classic Broadway tunes. The Philadelphia Orchestra will perform works by Mozart, Mahler, and Verdi. Including a Patriotic Concert scheduled for the Fourth of July, the Dallas Symphony Orchestra is scheduled to perform works by reputed film composers John Williams and Arthur Fiedler, Jazz classics, Dvorak, and Beethoven.
Over the course of the summer, music lovers can also look forward to sixteen free concerts presented by the Bravo! Vail Valley Music Festival. A few highlights of this year’s free concert schedule include a free family concert on July 14 featuring music performed by the National Repertory Orchestra, Beethoven’s Finest on July 23 with the Jasper String Quartet, and Joyce Yang Performs Rachmaninoff and Schumann on July 30.
During the Fourth of July holiday, there is no better place to be than in Vail enjoying the fresh mountain air and abundant sunshine with friends and family. During the four day long Vail America Days Fourth of July Celebration, there will be a fireworks show, a Vail Village parade, live music, kids’ activities, a street festival, and more.
