Luxury home prices expected to climb higher

  Ron Byrne and Associates are excited about a new bluegrass festival coming to Lionshead this summer that will add to Vail’s music offerings. The Vail Summer Bluegrass series will be taking place on select Wednesday nights beginning July 2 with free performances by national artists. The series is sponsored in part by Town of Vail commission on special events and will serve to complement Vail’s midweek music scene which includes the Hot Summer Nights concert series on Tuesdays and Jazz at Vail Square on Thursdays. In addition to the Bluegrass series, Vail’s summer event calendar includes Feast! Spring Back to Vail in April!

The ski season in Vail culminates in a huge celebration, Spring Back to Vail. Over the course of two weekends, from April 11 – 13 and on Sunday, April 20, Spring Back to Vail celebrates the Colorado Rocky Mountain lifestyle in a unique fashion only to be experienced in Vail. Look forward to free concerts, an Expo Village, the World Pond Skimming Championships at Golden Peak, and lively après ski parties. All of the spring ski season fun begins on Friday, April 11 with the Spring Back to Vail Expo Village from 8:30 am – 3:30 pm at the Mountain Plaza Base Area. Check out the Expo Village between runs. Later, enjoy a free concert at Solaris at 6:30 pm, featuring opening act Dirty Dozen Brass Band and Karl Denson’s Tiny Universe. Eagle Airport eyes more markets

Ron Byrne & Associates is looking forward to their real estate clients to have more direct flight options into Vail as Eagle airport eyes more markets. This winter’s commercial air schedule saw a slight drop in available seats, but more of those seats had passengers in them. County officials took a hard look at commercial airline passenger data Tuesday, with an eye toward adding nonstop flights to several new cities. “We want to make data-driven decisions about what carriers and routes we target,” said Greg Phillips, director of the Eagle County Regional Airport. “There are opportunities here during the peak periods. It gives us more information to convince airlines to look at this more closely.” Based on data, Washington Dulles could be a huge market for United, Schorr said. Delta expanded its service from Minneapolis/St. Paul, but still had 7 percent more demand than available seats, said Kevin Schorr, of Campbell-Hill Aviation Group, the consulting firm that crunched the data. A summer flight to Chicago would create opportunities to fly to many other places in the world, and Charlotte, N.C., provides access up and down the East Coast.
