Keeping up with the Big Cats

By | Vail Events, Vail Real Estate, Vail Winter Events | No Comments

As Vail expanded over time, the resort’s snowcat fleet has set an industry standard for grooming. At Ron Byrne & Associates Real Estate Vail, we are all about keeping up with the big cats.  If you want to know anything about Vail or the current real estate market, please visit our website www.ronbyrne.com or give us a call at 970.476.1987. Vail applies to replace Chair 4 with six-pack chairlift

By | Vail Events, Vail Real Estate, Vail Winter Events | No Comments

Vail’s new Gondola One has been a big hit all season. The team at Ron Byrne & Associates loves taking a quick break during lunch to explore some of Vail’s fresh powder quickly from the gondola’s speedy access!  Now resort officials want it to link up to a new six-pack chairlift. Ever since Vail officials in November debuted the new 10-passenger Gondola One out of Vail Village, reviews have been very good — the only knock being, “Why doesn’t it go to the top?” The high-tech new gondy deposits snow riders at Mid-Vail, where they can click into their skis or jump on their board and either head back down to the base or take either Chair 3 or Chair 4 (both high-speed quads) to the top of the mountain. So on Thursday the ski company officially asked for U.S. Forest Service approval to install its first ever six-pack chairlift to replace the Mountaintop Express (Chair 4) “in the next several years.” Vail Resorts also wants to replace the main lift out of Beaver Creek Village, the Centennial Express (Chair 6), with a new six-passenger chairlift. “These proposed projects were submitted by Vail and Beaver Creek in anticipation of the…
